Jaz trained on the National Theatre Studio Director's Course, the Acting and Contemporary Theatre course at East 15 and Dartington College of Arts.
Her original work Civilisation, a collaboration with choreographer Morgann Runacre-Temple has toured extensively in the UK and internationally, winning the Jury Prize at Fast Forward Festival, Dresden Staatschauspiel's inaugural festival for young stage directors in Europe.
She was nominated by the National Theatre as part of mitos21, the European Theatre Network, to workshop a new work at Performance Laboratory Salzburg 2019.
She has been the finalist for several directing awards; Genesis Future Directors Award 2017 and 2019, the RTST Sir Peter Hall Director Award 2018, the Oxford Trust Samuel Beckett Theatre Award 2020 and the JMK Award in 2016.
She is the Co-Artistic Director of award-winning arts company, Antler (Winner of IdeasTap Underbelly Award, Winner of Pulse Festival Suitcase Prize, Nominated for The Stage Best Ensemble Award, Winner of Best Short Fiction at BFI Future Film Festival) who have transferred shows to the Bush Theatre, Soho Theatre and toured the UK.
Antler were an Associate Company at the Bush Theatre 2017-18.
